Exercise has been credited with many health benefits. We all know that regular exercise greatly reduces the risks of developing Type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease, while also reducing stress and improving general wellbeing.

More recent research though has shown that regular exercise can also assist in the management of arthritis. For people with arthritis, exercising is an important part of the overall treatment plan. Exercise helps to maintain a healthy weight which inturn alleviates stress on the joints. Exercise also strengthens weak muscles, releases stiff joints and helps balance, all of which, improves quality of movement and lessens the pain associated with the condition.
